Mentoring To Transform Lives is the Sophia/CPAS/Urban Saints Training Day that has been touring the country for the last year or so. It is now a run by Sophia and takes bookings around the UK. TheMentoringNetwork and The HUB (Sheffield) is proud to offer this excellent resource to get as many folk in the South Yorkshire region excited and equipped to genuinely invest in and encourage each those around you... on purpose!
Don't be put off by the name Mentoring!! Mentoring is a really a description of a wide range of things - from just being intentional about helping a friend grow/process life ...all the way through to formal coaching style meetings with paying strangers! This day will help you find the place in that spectrum that you feel comfortable with!
This day will de-mystify Mentoring - and not only show you what it is and isn't, but will equip you with skills to start Mentoring people around you in a natural and fruitful way. Men
toring is increasingly important in Youthwork and in the growth of the church generally - mainly because at base it is just a way of tackling discipleship and the whole issue of loving people as Jesus did - personally and authentically - and with skill!
£25 for the whole day - including lunch, plentry of coffee/refreshments! and a workbook...
£20 if you book before September 1st!! If you are booking a whole group/team on from a church or organsiation do get in touch, we may be able to offer a discount for block bookings...

The morning will cover: What Mentoring is (and isn't!) and a brief biblical basis - and some Key stages in mentoring...
The afternoon will cover more on key skills Mentor well - and issues around the Person of the Mentor...
The day is engaging and interactive with plenty of time for Q&A and a chance to try out a Mentoring excercise with each other!
