Shine Sheffield is an initiative starting at Easter 2011 and culminating in a week of events next summer, July 4th –July 8th.

This initiative has been designed to inspire and equip individuals and groups to consciously plan acts of kindness. Equipped with a card displaying “Making Sheffield Shine – tell your story at www.makeyourcityshine.com” young people will be able to leave the card behind them, giving the opportunity for the recipient to tell their story and show that goodness is fashionable.

• At Easter 2011, we will be launching Shine Sheffield and the Shine Sheffield website. Schools can request cards and give them out to their students
• Partnering churches will be available to visit schools to take lessons and assemblies from Easter 2011
• Five schools will be specifically invited to have five different acts visit their school over five days (July 4th – July 8th 2011), delivering lessons, assemblies and lunchtime activShine ities
